The Centre for Experimental Theatre organizes the international festival of alternative culture Theatre in Movement and the Archa project (Theatre in Movement).
The international festival - THEATRE IN MOVEMENT
Theatre in Movement is an international festival event well-known throughout Europe, focusing on presentation of contemporary creations of the Theatre Goose on a String within the context of international theatre activities and European cultural movements.
The ARCHA 2000 Project (Theatre in Movement)
The project was created in 2000 by the Centre for Experimental Theatre, Theatre Goose on a String, Theatre Archa and Serpens Association. This was a unique production, when actors, actresses, musicians and the audience went through the town with Noah´s Ark. The Ark was a unique object made using the original carpentry techniques. This event gave its name to the ARCHA project, which focuses on finding new forms of theatre, new spaces for theatre performances, that it discovers and symbolically transfers into the new millenium. Since then every year the Centre for Experimental Theatre has organized the Archa project always designated by the current year.
In addition to these festivals the CED is also co-organizer of the Setkání - Encounter international festival of theatre schools (the main organizer is the Theatre Faculty of the Janáček Academy in Brno) and it provides space for the Festivadlo international festival of francophone grammar schools.
