The Centre for Experimental Theatre, together with the Theatre Goose on a String, is located in the theatre complex at Zelný trh.
HaTheatre is located in the unique space of a former cinema in the Alfa functionalist palace in the centre of Brno, where it moved in 2003.
The theatre complex of the Centre for Experimental Theatre and the Theatre Goose on a String is formed by the House of the Lords of Fanal at Zelný trh, and the building called New Stage on Petrská street. Both buildings are connected by an outside Elisabethan stage. In the basement space of the House of Lords of Fanal there is Gallery Katakomby (for exhibitions) and the Cellar stage. Upstairs there are offices, library, clubroom and congress hall. The Elizabethan stage not only connects both buildings, but it is also an independent open theatre space - a variation of Shakespearian London balcony-type theatres. Technical equipment and store-rooms are located in the basement of the New Stage building. The foyer and cloakroom are on the ground floor. The new stage is located directly above the foyer and the two spaces are connected with staircases on both sides.
The House of the Lords of Fanal was opened on 11th January 1992 with the Opening the Doors event, which took several hours. The Theatre Goose on a String, HaTheatre, Studio House and non-Children Studio performed in all the rooms of the house from the cellar to the attic.
The whole theatre complex was opened on 5th September 1993 when a painting "Angel and Comedian" by Milivoj Husák was unveiled on the tower of the new building and with the performance of the new version of Labyrinth of the World and Lusthause of the Heart in the Great Hall of the new building.
