Open call: STÁTKY – Terén

Terén announces an Open Call for artistic projects for a series of events taking place during 2026 at the Brno City Council Club on the occasion of Czech national holidays. The deadline for applications is November 17, 2025.

For its year-long series entitled STÁTKY, Terén is looking for creative teams to design and implement a program tailored to Czech national and other holidays in 2026. The premises of the Brno City Council Club, with their unique symbolic potential, will become a venue for the presentation of ten artistic interventions.

The series aims to reflect on the social significance of holidays and open up space for their active, radical, and critical reinterpretation. It will offer the public a chance to experience a unique year of STÁTKY: hybrid events, mutated celebrations, and subversive jibes.

Terén is looking for original projects – ideas, plans, and implementations of events that relate to specific national holidays in an artistic form – for individual events separately, not for the entire series. It is possible to submit concepts for more than one holiday, but not more than one will be selected. The winning proposals will be selected in cooperation with an expert committee.

More information can be found on the Terén website.
